Position Title
Assistant Manager- Sales & BD (Cable/ Conductor/ EPC)
Position Summary
This position will be responsible for managing the end-to-end tendering and bidding process for EPC projects in the Power Cables business. The role involves identifying and evaluating tenders, coordinating bid strategies, preparing and reviewing technical and commercial submissions, managing vendor quotations, and ensuring strict adherence to tender conditions and timelines. The incumbent will work closely with internal stakeholders and vendors to develop competitive bids, optimize costs, ensure compliance, and improve bid success rates in alignment with organizational objectives.
Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities
- Key Account Management: Taking full responsibility/accountability for sales & customer support to existing booked orders and acquiring new orders, work in line with the bidding team
- Market Access: Analyze the Market position. Also, have In-depth knowledge of transmission projects & lines in the territory. Able to lead the benchmarking of Power Cable, market share and competitor analysis.
- Commercial Acumen: Participate in Techno-Commercial interactions with EPC Contractors / Transmission utilities (focusing on identified top 10 utilities n EPCs). Proactive engagement @ pre-RFQ stage.
- Relationship Management: Maintains relations with utilities, EPCs, agents & traders to improve the brand positioning of Sterlite. Have good hands-on Analytics and ensure up-to-date analytical reporting. Ensuring all technical specifications are received, clarified, and agreed upon with a customer at the order stage.
- Tools: CRM and Sales force knowledge and using it extensively for the business right reporting and building capability
- Stakeholders Management: Collaborate with Finance/ Logistics for managing shipment and import documentation on time and it helps in ensuring timely deliveries in DDP shipments.
- Customer Focus: Effective engagement with the customers, handle feedback information to customers on quality improvements on products and changes, as and when necessary.
- New Business/New Products: Focus on becoming the market leaders and expanding new products based of solar cables.
- Excellent Communication, knowledge of State & Central utilities, SECI, CERC, EPC for RE.
- Complete cycle management of O2C
