Assistant Manager - Survey

Purpose of Role

End to end management of pre-bid & post – bid survey process for various Transmission Line and Distribution / Cable projects using latest technologies.

Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities

1. End to end management of pre-bid & post – bid survey process for various Transmission Line and Distribution / Cable projects using latest technologies.
2. Drafting the survey scope in consultation with bidding team depending upon the project complexities. Listing of key essential and desired information for risk assessment and mitigation plan. Analysing survey results in all possible manner to arrive at optimised BOQ.
3. Knowledge of Survey Instrument like; Auto Level, Total Station, DGPS, GPS.
4. Proficiency in AutoCAD, PLS CADD, Global Mapper and ArcGIS systems, data analysis, map creation is also essential.
5. Knowledge of Route Alignments, Walkover Survey, Detailed Survey, Check Survey, Pit Marking, Prop Setting Equal and Unequal Leg, Line Profile and contouring in hilly and plain terrain.
6. Knowledge of Benching and revetment proposal, PTCC, Civil Aviation Proposal, Forest Proposal, Gas Pipeline, PLC Proposal, NH Proposal, Railway Proposal. Georeferencing of Topo map.
7. Optimization of route.
8. Exploring of new and innovative Survey technology to continuously improve timeline and efficiency of survey process, quality and accuracy of information gathering.

Critical Success Factors - Essential

Engineering graduate/ diploma with 6-10 years of experience in Transmission industry preferably in Project Execution role with reputed EPC/ Infra player.

Knowledge of Technical Specifications related to construction for TL line & SS to comply with regulatory/grid norms.

Critical Success Factors - Desirable

Knowledge of risk and challenges related to Transmission Project execution in India.
