Assistant Manager- Bidding & Tendering (Power Cables/ EPC Projects)

Position Summary

This position will be responsible for managing the end-to-end tendering and bidding process for EPC projects in the Power Cables business. The role involves identifying and evaluating tenders, coordinating bid strategies, preparing and reviewing technical and commercial submissions, managing vendor quotations, and ensuring strict adherence to tender conditions and timelines. The incumbent will work closely with internal stakeholders and vendors to develop competitive bids, optimize costs, ensure compliance, and improve bid success rates in alignment with organizational objectives.

Critical Success Factors - Essential

• Professional with over 5+ years of in sales (tendering and bidding), specifically with cable, conductor, or Metal industry
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical or civil 

Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities

• Identify and track HV/EHV underground cable tenders (66 kV to 400 kV) from utilities and various tender portals.
• Circulate tender details to internal stakeholders for go/no-go decisions and bid planning.
• Manage end-to-end tendering activities, including scope review, bid evaluation, and preparation of technical, commercial, and compliance documentation.
• Monitor NITs, corrigenda, amendments, and pre-bid clarifications to ensure alignment with tender requirements.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and competitive pricing .
• Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams for timely receipt of quotations and critical inputs.
• Prepare comparative for vendor quotations for techno-commercial compliance and cost competitiveness.
• Ensure adherence to tender conditions, contractual terms, and submission timelines.
• Maintain and update tender trackers with key dates, scope details, cost summaries, and submission status.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end tendering and bidding processes for EPC projects, including identification, evaluation, and submission of tenders.
• Knowledge of statutory, regulatory, and commercial requirements related to GST, duties, taxation, and contractual compliance in tenders.
• Proficiency in maintaining tender trackers, bid dashboards, and MIS reports using Excel, ERP systems, or bidding management tools.
• Ability to perform cost estimation and pricing analysis, including assessment of supply, installation, logistics, taxes, and risk provisions.
