Assistant Manager - Finance- FP&A
Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced assistant manager with Ownership and to control end-to-end cost as per budget & its variance for the BU MIS reporting ensuring accurate and timely report-out. Experienced in financial reporting, controllership. The candidate should have the drive and energy to drive change and willing to learn new things and should be flexible to support the larger team as required.
Position Demands
Strategic
- Ensures accuracy of numbers being prepared and presented and in a timely manner
- Provide necessary support to all stakeholders
Financial
- Should have solid understanding of financial statements and their cross linkages and ability to connect the dots
- Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes.
- Benchmark the organization versus key competitors and relevant industry players to identify areas of competitive advantage
Operational
- Prepare and maintain checklist of all items to be considered while preparing MIS report and cost budget
- Work with the team to update forecast model with actual monthly and help prepare commentary for variances and results
- Support long term business planning and forecasting exercise in coordination with cross functional team
Analytical Decision Making
- Does in-depth research and obtains relevant information from unusual sources in order to make more informed decisions, within the desired timeframe
- Evaluates and establishes norms/ processes that enable quick and timely decision making within Sterlite
