Position Summary

Procurement of Material & Services/Sub-Contracts Management from Power Transmission Industry, Civil Sub-con management

Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities

Operational Sourcing & Sub-Contract Management

• Drive P2P Cycle for Material & Services Procurement for Transmission Line EPC business. Handling Procurement of Transmission Line Items like but not limited to Conductor (Conventional +HTLS), OPGW, Tower, Steel, Hardware & Accessories (Conductor & OPGW), Insulators, Substation items like CB, CT, CVT, Isolator, Line Trap etc and Sub-contracts for Civil works, Tower Erection, OPGW Stringing & Conductor Stringing Works etc.
• Handling Procurement of Communication Items (FOTE/SDH/PDH) and associated items of Auxiliary Power System (DCPS, Battery Bank) for OPGW projects and their Services including long term AMC.
• Responsible for Long Term O&M Contracts for Transmission Line Projects.
• Negotiations, Contracting & contract management.
• Manage project cost within budget with cost savings.
• Ensure timely award of Purchase Orders, appointments of contractors, gangs & timely deliveries with EHS compliance.
• To provide pre-bid commercial details with bottom- up costing approach to bidding teams for transmission line Projects including substations.
• Develop Market intelligence for all bids happening in India with cost trend understanding & set benchmarks for commercials.
• Vendor, Sub-Contractor development & create strategic tie up /back-to-back arrangements.
• Sourcing through e-auction platform.
• Understand taxation & its impact analysis to decide upon sourcing strategy.
• Past history Database management, industry benchmarks for cost.
• To develop vendor base for all Categories, relationship management & create tie ups for competitive advantages & faster project delivery.
• Track industry movements & assess its impact on sourcing/sub-con management.
• Releasing purchase orders from PR as per pre decided timelines. SAP experience mandatory.

Delivery performance management

• Support project teams for timely project delivery.
• Contract compliances, issuing warning as per the contract clauses, Decide upon risk purchases.
• Site visiting to supervise the execution activities to ensure proper safety and usage of material.
