Position Title

Manager NPD (Cable Division)

Position Summary

This position is responsible for new and existing HV/EHV cable product development and is responsible for providing process support to solve material and design related issues.

Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities

  • Preparing Technical Particulars / Design Datasheets & Cross-sectional drawings for EHV, HV, MV XLPE, Solar, MVCC Cables as per Indian & International standards
  • Preparing manufacturing guidelines for plant production team
  • Knowledge of Indian Standards (IS) & International Standards (IEC, BS, AS/NZS, UL etc)
  • Raw material estimation (Bill of material) calculation for cable costing
  • Calculations of all Electrical parameters applicable for HV/EHV cable
  • Calculation of accessories for EHV cable turnkey projects along with cable system design
  • Ability to design new products
  • Knowledge about Raw materials of HV/EHV cable
  • Knowledge about HV/EHV cable testing
  • Familiar with SAP/AutoCAD / CYMCAP

Critical Success Factors - Essential

  • Professional with over 5+ years 
  • Bachelor’s in engineering with Minimum 5 years’ experience in HV/EHV cable design
