Position Title
Quality Assurance- Testing & Inspection (Cable/ Conductor)
Position Summary
This role will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring timely routine testing completion and in implementing quality systems, driving continuous improvement initiatives and managing audits and compliance, also it plays a vital role in maintaining customer satisfaction, regulatory adherence, and upholding the organization’s quality standards.
Critical Success Factors - Essential
- Testing Experience is MV, HV and EHV cables along with MVCC.
- Achievement of Quality production targets. Good knowledge and hands on experience in testing & inspection
- Experience in handling inspection by customers and by third party agencies (FAT Inspection experience)
- BE Quality Management or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Metallurgy) or a related field.
- 6 - 8 years of experience.
- Should have Cable Domain experience particularly in Power Cables, HV, EHV and Medium Voltage Covered Conductor Testing.
- Trained on requirements of ISO/IEC 17025: 2017 & NABL Specific Criteria
- Estimation & Evaluation of Uncertainty in Measurement as per NABL 141
Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities
- Ensure that test strictly as per standard test methods
- Ensuring technical validity of results
- Overall Control of SEL-Routine Testing LAB’s activities.
- Control of calibration of test equipment, standards & reference materials
- Control on preventive maintenance of test equipment & apparatus
- Estimation of uncertainty in measurement
- Control of test data
- Handle Customer Complaints and Support Customer as per site requirement.
- Carry out periodic customer satisfaction survey & analysis
- Ensure participation in Inter-lab comparison & proficiency testing
- Ensure confidentiality of customer information & proprietary rights
- To conduct all cross checks, quality control checks, repeatability tests and to initiate appropriate corrections / corrective actions in case of nonconforming test work / undesirable situations.
- Controlling of records pertaining to the activities in the technical department
- Ensuring adequate training of the personnel under control
- Ensure proper health, safety & housekeeping in the lab.
- Reviewing the reports of internal / external audits & minutes of MRM to ensure timely completion of actions pertaining to the technical department.
- Quality Management System (QMS):
- Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in line with ISO and other relevant standards.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with QMS and drive improvements where necessary.
- Quality Assurance:
- Ensure that all products meet customer specifications and industry standards.
- Investigate and resolve quality issues, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Standards Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to national and international standards such as ISO, IEC, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
