Assistant Manager - Store

Position Summary

 

The Store Manager will oversee the efficient management of the WTG store yard and ensure proper storage, tracking, and inventory management of tools and materials. The role involves coordinating with all stakeholders to guarantee the 100% availability of materials for smooth project operations, while adhering to safety and compliance standards. This individual will play a critical role in receiving and verifying deliveries, conducting stock audits, managing logistics, and maintaining security of the store yard.

Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities

 

 

Inventory and Stock Management:

  • Maintain updated records of all inventories, ensuring materials are readily available for operations.
  • Perform regular audits to verify stock levels and address discrepancies.
  • Develop systems for efficient tracking and reporting of material usage.

Logistics Coordination:

  • Oversee the transportation and delivery of materials to ensure they arrive on time and in good condition.
  • Coordinate with logistics teams to minimize delays and optimize costs.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Enforce safety standards for storage and handling, ensuring compliance with legal and organizational requirements.
  • Maintain clean and organized storage facilities to minimize risks.

Material Tracking and Documentation:

  • Keep accurate records of material movements, including receipts, issuances, and returns.
  • Generate reports on inventory status, material usage, and storage conditions for management review.

Stakeholder Communication:

  • Liaise with project teams, procurement, and vendors to ensure timely availability of materials.
  • Address and resolve any issues related to materials, logistics, or inventory promptly.
