Assistant Vice President - State Advocacy Lead
Position Summary
Lead state-level policy advocacy and government relations to unlock approvals, shape policy, and de-risk execution across priority states (e.g., Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh). Operate as an “activist owner” of state relationships—moving beyond advisory support—to secure outcomes across approvals, RoW, land and compensation; partner closely with Central Corporate Affairs & Policy Advocacy, project/cluster leadership and the Stakeholder Strategy team. Build durable relationships with SERCs, energy departments, and utilities; provide regulatory/political intelligence for bids.
Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities
- Institutionalize state relationships: Institutionalize senior relationships with State Secretariats, SERCs, energy departments and utilities; sustain ties beyond single-project horizons
- Regulatory expertise and policy-to-execution bridge: Convert regulatory developments into bid strategy, risk guidance, and execution guardrails
- Organizational intelligence: Provide regulatory/political intelligence for bids; advise on positioning and risk mitigation
- Senior stakeholder management: Govern stakeholder mapping, contact networks, and engagement cadences; ensure consistent reporting and escalation with PDs/Cluster Heads/Stakeholder Strategy
Position Demands
Travel to state capital, project corridors in priority states (One state between Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Gujarat or Andhra Pradesh)
