SCM- Logistics & Procurement (Power/ Cable Industry)

Position Summary

Dynamic Process Excellence Assistant Manager to drive operational excellence across our Logistics Procurement functions i.e. Domestic Pan India, Export & Import with deep knowledge all type of incoterms. In this role, you will be at the forefront of transforming end-to-end processes, optimizing supply chain performance, and ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Critical Success Factors - Essential

• Understanding of Logistics Starting to End documentation, Shipping Bill & BOE compliance to Payments
• Strong understanding of transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and distribution networks.
• Working knowledge of the Procure-to-Pay cycle and vendor lifecycle management.
• Proven track record in reducing logistics costs through vendor negotiations, freight consolidation, and efficient planning.
• Ability to lead teams and collaborate effectively with cross-functional departments and external service providers.
• IT Skills: SAP; MS Office: Excel/PP/Word
• 8-10 years of experience as a Logistics Officer or Associate Manager for any manufacturing plant.

Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities

• Supply Chain & Logistics Management: Deep understanding of end-to-end logistics operations including transportation, warehousing, inventory control, and distribution planning.
• Procure-to-Pay (P2P) Process Expertise: Strong grasp of procurement workflows, vendor management, invoicing, and payment cycles.
• Import/Export Compliance: Knowledge of customs regulations, INCO terms, and documentation required for international trade, including DGFT schemes (EPCG, RoDTEP, Advance License).
• ERP & TMS Proficiency: Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and Transportation Management Systems for real-time tracking and reporting.
• Data Analysis & Reporting: Ability to analyze logistics KPIs, cost drivers, and operational metrics to support continuous improvement.
• Contract Management: Experience in negotiating and managing Annual Rate Contracts and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Inventory Optimization: Proficiency in forecasting, safety stock analysis, and demand planning to maintain optimal inventory levels.
• Digital Transformation & Automation: Familiar with implementing digital tools and process automation to enhance operational efficiency.
• Risk & Insurance Handling: Knowledge of transit risk mitigation and experience in managing insurance claims for damaged goods.
