Purpose of Role

The role will be responsible for the entire production activities in the mill to produce high quality standard products with high prime yield and to meet customer satisfaction. Achieve the production schedules as per the needs of the marketing department.

Position Summary

Position will be Responsible for the entire production activities in the mill to produce high quality standard products with high prime yield and to meet customer satisfaction. Achieve the production schedules as per the needs of the marketing department.  To minimize the down time by timely planning for the pass changes and guides. Responsible for implementing Management strategies to meet the business goals of the company

This role focuses on optimizing resources, maintaining high standards of safety and quality, minimize the down time by timely planning for the pass changes and guides and ensuring the achievement of Business Objectives.

Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth functioning of the production department.
• Ensure implementation of High Impact projects like Scrap Melt loss reduction , Alloying elements  consumption reduction, OEE improvement 
• Inventory Control- To follow good operational practices and have close monitor on the spares procurement.
• Ensure all production entries and scrap booking as per defined sop through SAP
• Minimise and control delays in product changeover and to be within the budgetary norms.
• Ensure proper implementation of the rolling programs and pass schedule changes.
• Provide information on yearly forecast of the operational budget to the general manager.
